Hi,
My girlfriend has a 2002 volkswagen jetta with the monsoon sound system with amplifier factory installed. I have a set of subwoofers and amplifiers I would like to install. My question is what would be the easiest way to do this and still retain the stock sound system?

get yourself a line level output converter and hook it up to the rear spaeker leads behind the radio, then run RCA's to the amp in the rear.  Also while your behind the radio find the swithced 12 volt accesory wire and run your amp remote turn on wire from there.  If your not comfortable tampering with the stereo wiring go to a local retail/install shop like  Circuit City, Best Buy, Ect. or a custom shop and have them attatch it for you then run the rest yourself.  Just don't unplug the radio unless you have the security code to re activate it afterwards.  All the newer VW's have the antitheft code thing on them now and it can be a real pain sometimes.
If quiters never win, and winners never quit, who the heck came up with the idea that you should quit while your ahead?

If you want superior performance to a basic LOC, have a look at the 6XS from Audio Control. This will provide superior performance and capabilities. It is a advanced LOC, line driver = subwoofer level controller all in one chassis. It is compatible with any type of factory amplified or non amplified system.
