I installed a Crimestopper rs-900 in a 2000 Mercury Sable. Everything works great. All connections are soldered and sealed properly. The problem that I am having is since the unit has been installed the radio will cut out for a second or two when the car is shifted into drive or back up into reverse or park. This occurs when the vehicle is normally started with the key. I unplugged the main harness from the brain box and it stopped cutting out the radio. Any ideas why this is going on.. I have done alot of remotes and this is the first thing like this.. Thanks in advance......

Isolating the starter wire by using a relay will solve this.
Basically wire it like you would a second starter wire.
Pin 30 to starter wire
Pin 87 to fused 12v+ constant
Pin 85 to chassis ground
Pin 86 to Starter output from unit
