I have a 96 Chevy Cavalier 2.2L and I need to find a good positive 12v source from inside the car other then going directly to the battery.  I've been told look in the fusebox for an accessery fuse. There isnt one in my car. Is there any wire i can tie into under the dash?  How about going to the fusebox where would I go and how do i go about doing this? Any help is appriciated.

The ignition harness can be found under the driver's side dash. It will be in a large harness covered in wire loom and tape.

I think there are two ignition wires on that vehicle one is PINK the other is WHITE always double check with a meter these will have 12v when key is on.

Do it right the first time, only a doctor can bury his mistakes.

And ACC is usually brown. This wire provides +12v without powering the balance of the systems in the vehicle that need ignition to operate.

If you want a constant wire you need to grab the RED wire at the ignition harness.
