I was doing an amp on an 03 lancer and ended up drilling through a boost pump that was either in the firewall or behind it. These cars are a bitch to drill through some parts are like mazes in side and twist and bend while others have stuff in front of them. I felt really dumb though cuz the girl was realllly hot.

Stavy - You failed to plan properly for this installation.  When you had the opportunity to look under the hood and check for obstructions didn’t even bother.  This is a critical error on your part, all the money made from the installation will now be spent on repairs to the customers car.  As the project manager you can blame no one but yourself.

Dont bother begging for your job Stavy.  This was a really easy decision and I have to say, Stavy, 'you're fired'.  *cue dramatic music*

Go... go ahead get out.

Ahhhh, really these things happen.  Well this was a fairly big 'uh-oh'.  The important thing is that you learn from it, that and NEVER, EVER DO IT OR ANYTHING LIKE IT AGAIN.

What will you get for Christmas, bad boy? Coal........or Visonik?? - stevdart

Next time, go for a cheap shot, bring it up through the firewall/floor area.

I've seen this more than once, always on Mitsubishis. The first time I saw this was on a V6 eclipse. It was grometed, RTV sealed and loomed, so it was safe. It didn't look bad, it was 1/0 wire.

Do installers have to pay for these claims? I've heard of it happening, but as far as I know, that is illegal for employers to garnish pay for accidents.
