My truck  was running fine, then the next day I tried to start it & when you turn the key it want do anything. The dash lights & all the power works it just want start, engine will not even roll over.I am thinking it has someting to do with the alarm. It has a factory GM alarm installed in it.Any tips would be great.

Thanks, Mark

is there any aftermarket alarm/remote start unit installed?????
have you tried or checked the ign. switch that is located on top of the colunm??? its towards the bottom of the colunm...it will have a rod attached to it....sometimes that will cause a problem.......
Good Luck

It has a Gm alarm installed but it doesnt look factory installed , I just checked it out, the ignition wire ( KEY ) going into the alarm box is getting power when I turn the ignition, & every thing else seems to be working fine on the alarm box, but still no ignition. I guess maybe the ignition switch is broken. The only other thing is another wire labeled ( MOTOR ) has no power to it going into the box.It plugs into the box along with the wire for the ignition. Could this be the problem? It seems like it should have power to it , at least when you turn the key on.

Thanks, Mark

are you able to unplug the unit and see if that makes a difference???
see if you can find a model number on the unit and post it...
