HI,

I'm looking for an easy to install module to by pass passlock II. I've installed a Prostart remote on a 2002 cavilier. I live in Edmonton AB Canada. I'm not having a lot of luck finding a Prostart module. Does someone know of an outlet near this area were I can buy this. Thanxs.

Try the GMBP from Trilogix:

It's very easy to install.

The PLDATA is probablt the better module since this is just the Passlock II bypass: http://www.velocitymotorsport.com/security/gmc_transponder.htm

I am not sure I understand the difference between the PLDATA and the GMBP.  Could you explain, please?  It seems like they both do the same thing.

The difference is that the GMBP is also a bypass module for the Passkey systems, but your vehicle has the Passlock II system. I understand that the PLDATA and the GMBP does the same thing, but in your scenario the PLDATA is sufficient for installation.
