which one of these diagrams are correct? have i put the distribution block in the right place?

the reason i am going from 4awg to 8awg, is because my new amp (alipne mrdm300)

takes 8awg not 4awg (used by my previous amp)

please follow the links, upload isnt working for me cap wiring? - Last Post -- posted image.

If you only want the cap to give power to the one particular sub, than the 2nd diagram is correct.

If you want the cap to supply power to all of the amps getting power from the dist. block, than the 1st diagram is correct.

One thing I did notice, though, is that, from the looks of these diagrams, the negative cable coming from the cap is going into the amp. If this is the case, it's wrong. Both the negative terminal of the cap, & the negative or ground connection on the amp, should be grounded to the car's chassis.

P.S. If you only have one amp, & are using the dist. block strictly for the purpose of changing wire sizes, than wire the cap after the block, but as close to the block as possible.
