I recently installed fog lights on my car. Since, I always forget, and no type of alert is connected to my fog lights i have left them on reulting in massive battery drain. Can I tie my fog lights into my existing "buzzing alert" that is for my factory lights? If not, what can i do/ Any suggerstions would be great!

If you are using a relay, you can hook them up to the park lights.
My Personal Installer Note: Connectors are easy, neat, and professional. But do you know how to crimp properly?

So, what wires would I tie into my parking light wires? Would I do it at the parking light switch? Why would i need a relay?.

I don't know what vehicle your installing on but you can get it directly from the parklights. You need the relay to give the fog lights an ample amount of power.

it's a brown wire... if you can't get the wires under the hood or straight at the light you can go in the car under the dash. You can use the same wire as the alarm, if you have an alarm. If you have an alarm, the fog lights will flash on and off when arming and disarming... and when it is going off.

The switch currently hooked up to my fog lights has 3 connectors on the back. 1 for constant +12 (red) , 1 for the fog lights to plug into (white), and 1 for the ground (black). Do I just splice the white wire into the brown wire? Do I then disconnect my red and black wire completely?

no the white wire will be used to turn on the fog lights, so that goes to the fog lights... (it should really be going to the relay). The red wire can hook up to the brown wire.

This will leave you with 2 options:  You can turn on/off the fogs with the park lights on and you can turn both of with just using the park light switch.

Don't forget the fuse...

there is also another thing you can do what you do is drop the dash underneath the sterring wheel and find the ignition wire this should be atleast a 10 guage wire look up or ask the 12volt what wire color is the ignintion wire for your car and what happens is if you shut off the key the lights automatically go off and when you turn the key to acc spot of cylinder the lighs will go on now if you run a switch between the ignition wire and the possitive wire of fog lights you will be able to turn them on and off as long as the car or key is on.

mecp certification is not always needed. I have it and it has not helped me out at all. my experience out shines it.
