can anyone tell me where to grab the tach wire and what color it is on a 2002 chevy silverado 2500HD?  I know i asked this before but lost my note on it.  Also same truck I have the negative door triggers where when the door is opened the wire goes to ground.  So i looked at that the digram on the 12volt page to diode the wires to the alarm it seemed backward to me.  Which side does the strip on the diode go to..the alarm side or the trigger side?

Thanks,

Ryan

if you are looking for a tach for a remote start, you can get it at an injector.. just look at the injectors and use the wire that is not common.. I believe a pink is common on the injectors.. has to be a programming tach type of remote start I believe for this to work..
the strip/band side of the diode will go to the trigger side to allow (-) to go the alarm..

you can also get the white wire @ the pcm. this is located to the left front of the engine. there are 2 white wires so you have a 50/50 chance of getting it right on the first try. this is an 8 cylinder signal.

pin 10 of the 80 pin connector , but there not labeled so just dig into the harness and pull the 2 white wires.
