I am having problems with my truck...it continues to run after I take turn the key off and take it out of the ignition.
After testing the fuses, ignition switch, GEM and a few other things...I am suspecting the alarm/remote start modules that I had installed back in '98. The dealer that installed them for me is no longer in business, so I am going to uninstall them myself.
I found the wiring diagrams for the alarm (Clifford ACE300) online, however, I need the wiring diagrams for the remote start. It is an Avital Q-Start. (there is an AX2966KA on the module...perhaps this is a model number??)
Does anyone know where I can get these wiring diagrams or perhaps some installation instructions?
I tried calling Avital but they do not offer wiring diagrams to the public...

I can't help with the diagrams, and I am not familiar with that particular model of remote starter, but since you have obviously located the unit, why not disconnect it?  (I assume that the remote starter has modular connections.) That should help you identify whether or not the unit is at fault.

OK. The uninstall wasn't so difficult and I was able to do it without the remote start diagrams. (you could tell from my truck wiring diagrams and the alarm diagrams what each wire was for...)
My truck no longer stays running with the key out.
Thanks!
