I was looking at the AUTOTEK MX-3000.1 to power my Eclipse SW8122DVC subs. I have never heard of this brand does anyone know of this brand?

Piece of crap if you ask me... I have always had bad experiences with Autotek. Anything from melting to blowing, to replacing parts, to distortion. I highly recommend you chose a different amplifier ... Try cadence :)

I've used Autotek amps before and found them to be fine mid-level performers.  Same class as Directed.  No problems to speak of.

Not at all, eclipse is far better. Really, they are like the middle of the road, you can always get better and you can always get worth, but really its just average. I like Visonik better than i do autotek, but my favorite amp company , besides US Amps and MMATS, is Cadence. Check out their amps at www.cadencesound.com and you will find some specs on them, and see that they are great. I love my cadence amps, crystal clear and loud when i want them to be. i highly recommend them !

I've never had problems with Autotek amps either. They seem to hold up good and have good power.

I have never heard a cadence amp personally, although I have heard nothing but good things about them. But I have heard quite a few autotek amps, and talked to people that have them, and I would say they are right up there with MMATS and the older Visonik amps (the big red and silver 3000W ones) but not the newer ones they sell at pep boys, they are crap. IMO autotek amps are much better then average.
