Is there any way I can wire just a remote start for my 2001 maxima??? I only want a remote start and only use my factory remotes. Is that possible??

If so what buttons on the factory remote would start the car and how would I wire it???

Thanx..........

Some remote starters allow you to use your factory remote to start the car.  The way they work is that they are triggered by your door locks being activated twice within three seconds.  I have used the DesignTech model 20022 units, and have had good results with them.  I am sure that units from other manufacturers also have this ability.

Just remember, you will be very limited in the range you get since the factory remotes typically only have 50 feet of range.

That's a good point, although range may not be an issue for some, it is a very big issue for others.  Personally, I have been satisfied with using the factory remotes in my own vehicles, but if my vehicle wasn't in my driveway or if it was out of range from my office, I would need a system with greater range.
