Use a 556u and a spare key. Take the steering column apart and place the antenna ring around the tumbler and then mount your 556U box in a secur location as far away from the tumbler as possible. Hook up the blue wire to the blue/black or blue wire off the remote start, it doesnt matter which one and then hook up the red wire to constant power. Its that simple. Just remeber that when you get in the vehicle and its started by remote to step on the brake to turn the truck off then restart it with the key. This will avoid doubling up on the code.

You could also use a 555c instead of the 555u and not give up a key. 555c is about 15 bucks more but a coded key is more than the difference plus the 555c is smaller and easier to install.

I have had the 555c drop the codes before and hence no longer will let the vehicle start by remote start. By using the 556U box it is fool proof. But yes you could use the c box instead if you so desired
