still problems need answering

I'm hooking up a Crimestopper CS-2011rs....it is supposed to have a tach finder that allows me to hold down the valet switch for 2 secs and the parking are supposed to flash to indicated a valid tach........even programming the tach I have to push the valet switch 5 times and watch for the parking lights to flash

Make sure that you don't have any violated zones while you are trying to do this. For example, make sure that the hood is closed so the blue wire isn't grounded, make sure that the brake wire isn't receiving 12 volts and, if there's a neutral safety wire, make sure it sees ground. It's been a while since I played with a crimestopper piece but this may be your problem. Let us know what you come up with.Mike
