But if i have the drivers door open it will start fine. cant figure this one out. and i hooked up both ign. wires should the radio come on as it does?

Is it a standard vehicle, and regardless did you hook up some kind of door trigger wire. If you did then I am guessing you hooked up a negative trigger wire to a positive trigger door pin or a possitive trigger wire to a negative trigger door pin. Its all I got on this one.

when the doors are closed, are they locked? is the little LED in the door flashing? once the doors are locked the factory alarm is turned on. where did you connect the starter lead from your remote start unit onto? if you did it at the main ignition harness that's where the problem is. you need to tap in at the factory alarm module, which is to the left of the steering column hidden from view. you can pull it out by undoing a 10mm nut that's almost directly under the light switch. on that factory alarm brain you'll find 2 starter wires.....one going in and one going out. tap onto the "going out" wire and you should be fine.
good luck!
