No sound coming out of Alpine7893

Alright, first off, here is my setup:  92 Accord with an Alpine 7893 radio running my front speakers and an amp running my rear speakers and sub.  I was doing a little something the other day and mistakenly scrwed up the wires for the front right speaker.  The front left speaker was running fine.  So, to make up for this, I decided I would just run a 12 guage wire from the back of the radio to the area where the wires go from the car to the door, to the front right speaker.  I got my wire harness codes and did all that shindig, and when I went to turn it on, something happend (not sure exactly how to describe it).  Now it seems that neither of my front speakers are working.  I've checked and rechecked my wires, and everything seems fine.  My rear speakers and sub are working fine.  When I put the fader all the way to the front, volume on high, I get nothing. I've tried reseting the head unit, turning the internal amplifier off and on, and checked the fuse that is in the battery line (right by the battery) and the fuse that is in the yellow wire coming out the back of the radio (connecting directly to the battery line).  Both fuses are fine.  There is no fuse in the back of the radio.  I've tried everything I can think of and any help would be greatly appreciated.

OK I hope your front outputs didn't blow. You should disconnect the front right speaker and see what happens. Do you think you grounded the wire when you ran it through the door?

Alright, I'll check that tomarrow (too late right now).  What do you mean by front outputs blow?  The speakers, or the internal amp?

I noticed that I left a small part of the wire uncovered.  I'm guessing that this touched metal or something.  I'm going to try to disconnect the front right speaker later.  If I did blow out the internal amplifier, what are my solutions?  I'm guessing I would have to either A) buy a new CD player or B) buy a another amplifier for the front speakers.

C ) Get the speaker leads on the internal amplifier repaired. Most shops up here in Canada charge about $ 75.00 - $ 125.00 depending on the HU being worked on.Jeff

Well, I went all around the city today (New Orleans) looking for a place that repairs HU's.  They have all stopped doing it because its cheaper for most people to just buy a new stereo.  I think I'll just go with the amp option.
