I currently have a clarion drx9575zr with the dph7500z processor and I am thinking about swapping it for the alpine pxa-h700. does anyone know both of these setups. how will thy compare? does the clarion do anything better than the alpine or is it just much better? thanks

A lot of Clarion processors i have seen fry like chicken, and i have only seen about one Alpine processor go bad, and that was due to installation error. Go with the alpine, you won't regret it.

Clarion can't compete with Alpine at all.

I think you all are misunderstanding, I have the clarion already. I just want to know what differences I can expect between them

Ive run my clarion for years and have never had a problem Im on my third clarion actually (I even had the one with the dolphins swiming in the screen). I also own two new alpine units 9830 and 9835 which are great too. I can't speak for the new calrion stuff I haven't run them yet, but I only chose the alpine becasue I got a good deal on them or I'd be running clarion's new dual DAC unit which looks pretty nice and the price is right.

ill always stay with clarion pro audio... alpine doesnt use 24 bit dac's unless you buy the f1 status cda 7990 that costs $3,000...clarion vs alpine -- posted image. besides i get get a good deal on clarion units anyways. im not saying alpine is bad but i personally think they are very over rated.

good to know. I appriciate the thoughts. since mine is still working nicely and I am always under the pressure of non-rich status, I'll just enjoy it until a new alpine either drops in my lap or this one dies.
