I have read page after page and i have heard nothing about kicker. What do you think of the l7s. What do you think of the kx series amps.

Overall Kicker isn't a bad company. Their amps are pretty good but some of them are overpriced for the output. As for the L7 subs...holy sh*t in the loudness department but a no go for SQ. It all depends on what you want to hear...massive seisure inducing bass or tight, punchy with a deep edge bass

I love the L7's for the extreme low-end (20-50Hz), but they need to be paired with other subs to compensate for the poor higher frequency response (a la crossover). In the right enclosure (large sealed) the L7's can have pretty good SQ at the low fq's as long as you're running plenty of clean power without overworking the amp.

I also have a couple of kx 800.2's and they work great with each one running an L7. However, I must admit that I got the 800.2's for much less than most people would (less than half the retail cost).
