I agree completely, if the ground doesn't work, isolation and replacement is the next step.  If that doesn't work, re-install everything from the deck to the subs, or you could take it in and have it looked at.  Many places do it for free if you get in when they don't have any business.

The ground that I have is from a hole i made in the trunk floor that I drilled and cleaned up with a metal brush drill.  I have tryed bypassing my crossover and it didn't help. my ground is about 12-14 inches long.  The ground does have end caps on it.  I am just really frustrated right now it may be the radio  even though it is braND new.  I fryed a amp off of it a couple of weeks ago when i was being stupid and touched a speaker wire to ground while everything was on,  but I thought i just fried the amp when i did that

The reverse electrical charge could have shorted out something in the radio.  Since it is new return it for an exchange.
