what would be the normal range be for the remote to arm/disarm . i was told maybe 50ft but that's way to close . my gf's van has the factory alarm and it can be armed from 100ft or more . any idea's on the range for the viper

it really depends on rf interference but should be at least 250 ft. if you dont have this the reciever might be bad.
