Hi.  This is a friends truck, has a ford installed remote start.  The problem is the antitheft light is on all the time, and the truck cannot be started with the key intermittantly.  The dealer cannot or will not fix it and I am going to take a crack at it.  My experience is with ultrastarts, command starts, etc.  Does anyone have an install manual for the Ford remote starts and a wiring chart for the truck?  I am assuming the problem lies with the bypass kit.  Also the remote start shuts down when the truck RPM reaches 1500 (common in our cold weather) anyway to program the brain to a higher RPM value?  Thanks!!

Is this the Ford factory remote start or one that the dealer had added to it from some install shop? If it is the Ford factory unit, the thing is an absolute bloody nightmare and the customer is better off getting it removed and a refund on it.
Top Secret, I can tell you but then my wife will kill me.

you got a 2005, it will be in warrenty. let them take care of it, once you try and get to it you can void the warrenty.
Go talk to the service manager, if they cant help go higher up the ladder. And if they say they WILL not fix, that is bull sh*t.
Did it coem with thsi RS or did you have it added on. Take it back dont do it your self. Not sure on warrenty in Canda liek it is here in the US. i also woudl check in lemon laws that if canada has those. If they wont do any thing (dealer ship) you need to contact ford main office and fiel a compaint against that dearship.
