Alpine Type R subs VS RF Punch P3

Hey there what are a better sub the alpine type R subs or the Rockford Fosgate P3,
Also whats the difference between the two.

Frankly I am not a big fan of the new fosgate equipment, nor the alpine type r subs...but if I had to pick and choose a sub for both SQ and SPL use I would go with the type r

 maybe it is because that is what I install in my shop but but the fosgate p3 will blow a jl out of the water.

just as an example I have a p3 in a ported box with  a keenwood excelon 811d 1000 watts at 1 ohm, Im running the 2+2 ohm wired at 1 ohm to this amp and Im getting almost a 3" excursion hitting around 130db with just this one sub. I have a local shop here that sales alpine and jl, and they are very impressed with this sub, of course it does not compar with a type x or a w7 but my fosgate power stage 2 will make these 2 subs sound like 8" subs

i have 2 type r 12's my buddy has 2 p3 12's, they are about the same spl but the type r sounds cleaner.
