I have a shop in Germany and I am trying to find out where can I get a remote start for a 2005 Chevy Equinox. They do not sell them here. Do they sell them seperate in the states or do I have to bypass the factory alarm and add a alarm that has RS. Thanks Jaz

She just got the truck last week and wanted to know if I can just add RS because it is a factory option but hers didnt come with it. The German guys at the opel dealer here = to chevy dealer dont have any clue what I am talking about. Just thought I would ask you guy's because your in the states. I can bypass it but she just wanted what she has upgraded. Thanks for any help with this.

I have:
Key sense - Light green (-) - ign switch harness
-- required for r/s to keep wrench light off
tach - light blue - coil on top of engine
batt - RED / white
ign - ping
acc1 - orange
acc2 - brown (both accs must be powered)
strt - yellow (not required for remote start)
alarm disarm -- RF ONLY!!!!!
-Note OEM ALARM WILL DISARM WITH REMOTE START
alarm arm -- RF ONLY!!!!!!
I copied that last little bit verbatim because I thought it was a wee bit confusing.
ACC (brown) _must_ come on before ignition. Once ACC drops out, car will automatically crank.
It sounds like you may be okay, but I've never touched this car, so...
