I used a GMDL-BP on a 2004 Chevy Avalanche today. Remote start worked great, but the door locks would not operate right. Anyone else have any troubles with this vehicle??

no problems with that vehicle, lots of problems with the GMDLBP, what is yours doing? Last one I had fail would send the truck into panic when you locked the doors.

*grin*
I watched one of my fellow installers plug three of those into the same harness. The first two did nothing whatsoever-- the 3rd one worked perfectly right from the first door cycle.

The trouble I had with the door locks, were they failed to work at all.. at one point they would move the drivers side door lock after a short delay..but then they would do nothing.. I could not even get the confirmation light flash for the locks after that..Thought maybe it was th r/s, tried another unit and the same thing...using crimestopper rs-900 r/s... Trilogixs say something about transistor type door locks?????? need to boost the neg pulse with relays... as usual I cannot get them on the phone.. that was on thier site.....

If worst comes to worst you can always use relays.

are you on the right program menu? I just did 2 cars with GMDL_BP and it worked great.(2005 CTS & park ave)You can't change program menus until data wire is connected.

I was in the mode to unlock all doors... mode one was for the locks .. my platform for the truck was four.. There was one thing I did not hook up.. it was any kind of a alarm disarm wire.. looked like when you locked with the oem remote it has a security light on the dash.. but remote starting it did not set the alarm off... any connection there?????

You problaby already did this but are yu sure you saved the "4" program into the mod. On both of the cars I just did there was a 2 to 3 sec delay before lock. I left them as double pulse unlock.          As far as the security light it should come after a while(30 sec) after lock. try the relay or a new mod otherwise
