Yellow/Purple, found right at the parking brake lever after you remove the center console.

got it:
Yellow/purple stripe, runs from console underneath the driver seat to the subharness, up the rocker panel to the SMJ just above the fusebox. From there, it spilts and goes to the cluster to trip the light, and out under the hood to the brake fluid reservoir.

That's also the easiest place to tap into it. Only takes a minute to remove the 4 screws that hold the center console in.

I see, but your original post asked "98 nissan 240sx E-brake wire?" and with the thread bumping sounded like you were in a big hurry to get to it as fast as possible.
Anyhoo, glad you found what you're looking for. I'm not familiar with the compstar unit, but you might also want to make use of the nuetral switch output since it's a manual tranny (to make 100% sure it won't start in gear).

Can you be more detailed on the SMJ? Thanx.
