I have used Orion for years. Very good amps. Never owned PPI, but heard several of them. I would say they are both good quality and power.

I've never heard any Orion amps, but I own a PPI. I love the amp and dont have any complaints about it. Orion and PPI are owned by the same company arn't they?? If they are, you can expect that they both will be great amps.

orion and ppi are not only owned by the same company, directed electronics, they come out of the same production facilities.

we're talking nearly identical product with  two different nameplates, like a chevy tahor vs. a gmc yukon.

unfortunately neither company really compares to the forces they once were, but should be  fairly well built equipment knowing dei.

damn the conglomerates like rockford and dei!!! buying up all the good names like mb quart, orion, viper, every other alarm  you can think of, and then whoring out mediocre equipment under this premium label.

MECP certified, 5yrs experience, you probably otta listen bitch!!

What is good and what is bad .. or which is better ..

Since you put it that way, I lean toward the Orion. I've owned 4 different models of them, and they are all great. I have even ran some of them at a lower ohm load than I should have, and they would get a little warm, but never hurt them. I still would say the PPI are good amps though.
