plz someone help, i cant finish my alarm install untill i find my tach wire. my car is a 97 chevy cavalier and i need help finding the tach wire. thanks

Purp / Wht @ engine harness
The engine harness is found next to the battery, below the radiator hose, just above the transaxle.

alright, man i found a purple and white wire. i guess ill take your word that when it fires up for the first time i wont be crying. but the fact that your word for word told me the exact location, i feel better. lol thanks man

im in need of some help. im at the end of installing my prestiege aps-996a. dose anyone know which wire i run to the dei-555L bipass. cause the bypass is all i have left. need help thanks

I did one last night and the tach wire was white and NOT PURPLE / white.

The BULB TEST wire is a BLACK 16 guage wire running along side the ignition switch. You can use either WHITE/ PURPLE or WHITE for this vehicle.
