is it a good idea? cause ima shortly have comps up front and was wondering if haveing rear fill in a video setup was necesary.

I still run rear fill.    I have never been a big fan of eiminating the rear speakers totally.    I have actually upped the rears from 6x9's to 5 1/4 co ax's      they do cover some of the higher end mid - treble that my 6 1/2 alpine type r's dont cover as well as I would like.
Let alone when you have approx 142-144 db in the trunk...and I am talking term lab measurment not hey I got it measured by a guy in a van....   it is quite hard to get my mids and highs loud enough to keep up...But I have achieved it with 150rms per speaker in the cab
