we installeda trc-av-xd100 dvd, tecvox t702bk flip screen, and wireless headphones in a 2001 toyota sequoia. the sysytem was working great in the shop for about 30 minutes, then we got heavy system noise. after trouble shooting the system, we found that the IR input on the dvd was causing the noise.  how is that possible and what can i do about it.

the ir input is for the eye  for the  remote  just try to relocate it and see what happens then if that does not work that take it out and run it plugged in outside of the car.

mecp certification is not always needed. I have it and it has not helped me out at all. my experience out shines it.

You may have a cold solder in the IR input for the DVD player. Check the main CPU where it plugs into and check for a cold solder point in the IR connection.
