i can not find the bulb check wire and i have to finish this car today. the car is a 97 cheve cavalier. please help

i think he mean the bulb TEST wire.

it is on the ignition harness...I think there are 2 black thin wires.....it is the one that gives ground on CRANK postion.

they both have ground all the time. that is why i am confused. but could it be because i have the harnest unpluged

if your talking about the ignition harness....test the wire when it is plugged...and one will give you a ground on crank

The ignition harness is a white plug and I think has black wires in pins E & F. These are not your bulb test wires. Is there a BLACK plug above the white plug? If so, the black plug has your bulb test wire in it. And as others have mentioned, the wire will read a ground while cranking.
