The 4 door versions are positive trigger, and the 2 door versions are 5-wire.

does anyone know if i have to do anything special for the performance teknique 7071 to connect it to a positive trigger door besides actually physically connect the green and blue witres respectively. The wire's i'm connecting them to when i appply a short burst of 12V the either unlock or lock the doors respectively and when i connect the alarm it shows the car as armed or unarmed and the remote starty works but these two wires show no outputted voltage or or that matter any change in locking or unlocking the doors. I'm thinking perhaps there is a setting for polarity either -  or  + that i don't know where it is. any ideas?

J2 would be a jumper inside the alarm brian, some brains will have jumper settings that have to be changed for certain installs, like a jumper to change from + parking light output to -

Basically if you have to change J2 you would open the brain and there would be a 2-3 pin connector with a black or white plastic jumper cap connecting 2 pins together you would just remove the cap and place it on which ever pins you need to.
