My friend just bought a wiring harness today to install his alpine dvd head unit with flip out screen. Im not sure exactly which unit it is but hes had it for a while and on the back of this unit there is only a female plug coming out the back. How am i supposed to install this with a wiring harness? Any ideas would be helpful. Thankyou

It sounds like your friend bought the adapter harness for the vehicle he owns but is missing the wiring harness that actually belongs to the deck. With out this harness you cannot install the deck.. Am I close?

The headunit harness will be in the brain, and the conector that plugs into the back of the brain is the din cable, also there is a 4 way harness with the parking break cables i believe.
