Car:  1999 Dodge Ram 1/2 ton Sport

Install:  Marksman 6a Remote Start / Remote keyless entry
Problem:  Remote Start not working at all.  Cannot enter programming mode.

I have verified that everything is hooded up to what it should be and tested it with a meter.  I tried adding the Ignition 2 output, but it did nothing.

I have verified that the Negative and positive safety shutdowns as well as the Neutral Safety Switch Input are working properly (with a meter).

The remote works for the unlock/lock (you can here the relays going off) and the red led flashes with the locked (armed) function.

Horn honks and lights flash appropriately with the lock and unlock, but NOTHING with the remote start!  It does nto even appear to be receiving.

Here is how we have things hooked up:

The format is as follows - Wire Color:  Off Voltage/Acc-Run Voltage/Start Voltage to Marksman Harness Wire Color/Description

Red Wire:  12/12/12 to Red Wire(2)/+12 Battery Input

Blk/White Wire:  0/12/0
Blk/Orange Wire:  0/12/0
Pink/Black:  12/12/12
Dark Blue Wire:  0/12/12 to Yellow Wire/Ignition 1 Output
Yellow:  0/~0/11 [starter] to Violet Wire/Starter output

Pink/Black- 12V all the time
Red- 12Vall thetime
Darkblue- Ignition
BLACK/ Orange- Accessory
Yellow- Starter
There is no second ignition..... the BLACK/ white is a second accessory (radio, other stuff not needed for remote start whatsoever)
Brake is WHITE/ tan at switch, may also be found in column wiring. Black yellow for the parklights can be had at the large connector beside the Ebrake assembly (along with locks, brake, glowplug, doorpins..... bunch of stuff in that harness)
HTH
Gus
Wherever I go, that is where I end up......
