Is there anyway to get this to run 2 or 4 ohms? If I get it to 3 ohms on a sony xpolt amp will this hurt the amp?
thanks

Subs like that are designed to be run in threes. Wiring three together in a series/parallel configuration would show the amp 2 ohms.

As for whether or not it will hurt the amp, it depends on the amp. If you're planning on bridging it, it won't be stable under 4 ohms unless it's a class-d or high current amp. You'll have to check the amp's specs.

The amp specs says it's stable 2-4 ohms,so wouldn't 3 ohms be in between this range?
thanks

ih8u37   sorry but 3 dual 6 ohms in series/parallel is 4 ohm mono. One is 3 ohm mono and this will not hurt any amp I can think of. Good luck with your system :)
