For my '91 Honda Accord Wagon, I would like a simple remote door lock and starter-kill security system.

Circuit City recommends CodeAlarm CSI 425 (master module) and CSI 125 (basic alarm) package.

Some of the factors to consider are, 1) I would like an easily accessible switch on the center console to serve as override or alarm disable and 2) it's likely that the remote will get damaged or lost.  Circuit City wants $60 for a replacement remote, and they would have to reprogram it.

Suggestions?  Alternatives?

I am Southern Calif, 92801.

Thanks,

1) all alarm unit should come w/ this button, its usually called valet button.... usually to be placed out of one's sight.
2) 60 for replacement? is it just button remote or the ones w/ LCD screen?

$60 is for a very standard looking remote.  Considering that the original package, CSI 125, includes two remotes and sells for $29, this seems exorbitant.
