i just put in an aiwa cdc-x504mp in my hyundai 1995 scoupe and when i hook up the power wires together and the battery wires together seperately nothing happens........but when i put all 4 wires together the system works fine but it does not save anything to memory and resets to factory settings everytime i shut off my car. is there anything anyone knows is wrong here????perhaps there is a special way i should connect the battery and ignition wires?  thanks

sounds like you have a fuse or two blown. DO NOT connect all those wires together. They are separtated for a reason. the yellow wire off of the radio is you constant power and the red is accy. The constant power is for memory functions as well as power to turn on the unit. The red is to turn it on. Check you fuse pannel and the fuses under your hood.

use a harness man!  $10, no guessing, , just match the wires up, and your good to go.

You must connect the yellow wire (memory power) to a B+ (a wire that always has current), it seems you hooked up the "memory power" to ACC wire that only has current when the key is "ACC" or IGN position thats the reason you have to program every time you turn off the car.

You can connect the red wire to a B+ too, if you want to use the stereo without the key, but remember turn it off cause of car battery.

Eale kuates!!
