Vidio interference or what?

Hi everyone, I will try to make this as detailed as possible. Half way through an install on my 1990 Pathfinder..eqpt is as follows..Pyle in dash DVD and radio...2 Blitz audio 7 inch TFT's for the rear and a Lilliput 7 inch TFT touchscreen with VGA/RCA input for the front (for video as well as using a laptop under the seat for GPS and MP3 library.... NOW here is my problem.. When playing DVD's, the picture looks very sharp and vibrant, however I get these "transparent scanning lines" that move across the screen sometimes fast sometimes slow.....it happens for both brand screens at the same time, so I know its not related to the LCD's. I was thinking it was some interference with the engine or something, but it happens with the car off to. When using the laptop with the lilliput and VGA connector, the picture is perfect. So the problem lies in either the DVD player or the RCA output to the screens. I also get this when I go into the On Screen Display for the DVD player. This is my 2nd DVD player (I sent the first one back for another reason)...but the first one did the same. And I tried 2 movies..same result. Would using better video out cables perhaps shielded one's help? I am using the ones provided with the radio....they are not shielded at all...Do I need a video amplifer or some sort of filter? Any idea what the heck is going on? Thanks in advance

Well if it happens with the engine off then it is a problem with the power supplies in one of the pieces of equiptment. You can try a cheap filter and rotate it through the pieces of equiptment till you get it figured out.Certified Security Specialist

I've been sick lately, sorry I won't be on much.

What kind of filter would I use?? I was going to put a 4 output video amp in there and see if it made a difference..what do you think? I hope your not hinting something is busted in the setup because I dont want to start ripping everything out from the head unit again..i finally got it closed up again. That Pyle head unit had the wiring diagram wrong! They stated the red was 12V BATT and the orange was ING...its actally reversed and drove me bananas for days

It a common problem for the main harness from the brain to head unit to go on alpines units, the main cable gets bent to hard during installation and causes a kink and the result is the exact problem you have.  Possibly the same problem for you, , maybe you got a kink in the line somewhere.    Im not familiar with your unit so i can't say for shure.2003 Chevy Avalanche,Eclipse CD7000,Morel Elate 5,Adire Extremis,Alpine PDX-4.150, 15" TC-3000, 2 Alpine PDX-1.1000, 470Amp HO Alt.
