I'm installing a Mannix R/S on a 96 Benz C280.  I understand that I must send a negative (-) signal to the factory alarm for the R/S to work.

I have not be able to locate the wire.  My DEI specs indicate PURPLE / green, in the ignition harness.  I pulled the wiring diagram for the anti-theft circuit using a ShopKey Application I have in my shop and there are no PURPLE / green wires in the circuit.

Does anyone specifically know where this wire is located (i.e. ATA control module in trunk, Central locking switch, etc) and what color is it?

Notes:
*1 Ignition harness accessible at bottom of fusebox. Pull fusebox up into cowling area to get at wires. Use PURPLE / green to bypass factory starter kill for remote start. *2 Operates with normal one second ground pulse. These wires also trigger a factory starter kill on the base model cars w/o alarm system. Ignition controlled locking will cause a no-start problem because of this. The PURPLE / brown wire at the door lock pump located in right rear corner of trunk must be grounded for vehicle to start. There is also a single WHITE/ green wire at the dash mounted door lock switch that does not engage the starter kill. It can be located along the passenger side of the console under carpet. Type E but 1 second pulse will operate. May not operate locks at all times - test before connecting. *3 Brn/gry at pass. front pin catches both front doors. Brn/gry/yel picks up rear doors. Also found as BROWN / pink at pin.   *4 Factory security module in trunk (if vehicle has one). May isolate arm/disarm from locks by using relay. Windows also controlled by locking and unlocking doors with key (convenience module also in trunk).
