Ok, I have a 2002 Escort ZX2. I bought a BOA Keyless Entry/Auto Start Do-It-Yourself Kit. I have all the wires hooked as they say to have them. Everything works but the keyless entry unlock function. I have tested the wires and found the right one(s).  The Blue wire will test 12V and ground when pushed. The Brain unit will flash the parking lights and act like it is unlocking the doors. Nothing works, I have tried every blue wire the passenger kick panel that tested as a possible unlock wire. I tried the driver kick panel, I even went as far as to get another brain unit of the same item to make sure it wasn't a defective brain unit. If I switch the wires, the lock wire from the Brain unit will unlock the doors, so I know I have the right wire...don't I? Any ideas???

What am I doing wrong? I am on the edge of insanity about this problem. Anyone have any ideas.....because I have ran out of ideas. Someone please help before I really do go off the deep end.

Do you have on board relays for the locks. If you only have 2 wires then you dont.

I have 2 wires coming the switch, one blue and one grey, then I also have a black wire that is ground. Does that help any? I have been told that I do have onboard relays...supposedly.

I don't have an alarm. I am just trying to install a keyless entry and remote start system.

Soory abouth that its just a habbit to call it an alarm. What i need to know is if the keyless has on board realys or not. The easy way to tell is how many wires are coming form the keyless for the locks. If only have 2 then you dont, bu tif you have 6 wires then you do.
