I just finished installing my APS 786T (2003 Mazda B3000). It required diode isolating the door triggers and splicing in a diode from the unlock wire to the door triggers to wake up the GEM. I was extra careful about getting the diodes oriented properly, but now I am having false alarms every 2 hours or so. I haven't fooled with the shock sensor much, but I did set it on the lowest sensitivity setting when I installed it. I tested it by kicking the bumper while the alarm was armed, and it didn't trigger. I'm happy with that for now since I don't want the alarm triggered when loud cars drive by.

Tomorrow I figure I will try unplugging the shock sensor and see if it still does it. Any other ideas?

I had the same problem in my 03 ranger. Wire the door triggers to the dome light and your problem is solved.

You mean use the positive switched wire from the dome light? Instead of using a wire from each door?

you best bet is to use a relay to isolate the door triger the pulse it sends out is not strong enuff to trip the relay

The relay will still allow the unlock wire that is spliced into the door trigger (and diode isolated) to wake up the GEM, right?

OK, the problem is the gem module sends out a small pulse that is just enough to set the alarm off when it goes into "sleep" mode. You can either tag the domelight wire or cut every door trigger wire install a diode to pass a ground to the gem module and tag the door triggers on the door side of the diode. You will still need diodes to isolate the door trigger's from each other.
