i am looking for a good mono sub amp that puts out around 700w@12V@2Ohms. I am looking at the Hifonics Brutus BX1000D and Kenwood KAC-X811D, which one would you choose...any others you would recommend?

You didn't answer his question LizardKing... I'd go with the Hifonics, just because i have seen many kenwood amps blow. I've used hifonics and they are good amps.
"I don't play games. I play Nakamichi and that for real yo" - Probably some japanese kid said this in the early 80's trying to sell stereo out of his trunk lol.

HiFonics are very popular, and they can be found for around $200 on ebay. My friend has a kenwood amp (not that exact one) and has no problems with it, but I have heard a lot of negative comments on kenwood in general. I also found a MTX 801D on ebay for $229: http:///.com/dll?ViewItem&item=5741213439&ssPageName=MERC_VI_RSCC_Pr4_PcY_BIN_Stores
