if I have a paslock II bypass module data interface will I still need just a alarm bypass or does it do both? thanks for your time      steve

My remote starter had a factory alarm disarm output (as most do) to take care of that part.

should have been more clear, is the passlock II still needed for the ignition resistance or is it built in the data bus for the doors

There are modules that interface with the Passlock II system and there are modules that interface with the door locks and factory alarm. There are also modules that do both. Read the manual that comes with your module. If it has door lock and unlock inputs as well as a negative out when running input it does both. It would help if you posted the type of module you have.

sorry, it is a rs-gmdl7 (gmdaa)for a commando car starter, it has out for door trig. input ground when running out for data that connects data pin #2 on the obdII connecter, in for lock, inforunlock in for panic, in for trunk,  in for dome or + ignition, 12v battery and wire for ground, again thanks for your time

That module will do everything. It takes care of the Passlock II, locks, alarm and it will do the heated seats and mirrors/rear deffogger in some vehicles. It won't do the door trigger for an alarm on that vehicle properly unless your dome lights work in the daytime. They work great.
