I'm sure I've over-looked something, but maybe someone could point me in the right direction.  I want to build a door/radio relay found here: https://www.the12volt.com/relays/page5.asp#drto

I understand the diagram and how it works, but I don't understand where to start building.  Do I make my own circuit board to mount the relays and connect my wiring to? Thanks in advance.

You don't build anything. You get 2 relays and wire them up. That is all.

So I'm just putting slot connectors on the wire ends and connecting  them to the prong connectors on the relays?

Yup, just putting female connectors on the wires and plugging those on the the relay's male pins.

They do make relay sockets if you need a neater job. They come with a Fog Light Relay kit that you can buy at any Auto Parts Store.

Just make sure they're 4 or 5 wire relays. Pep boys and parts america sell 3 pin's. I've never found a 5 pin locally unless it's at a alarm/stereo shop.
