I have installed many systems on older vehicles but the new ones have me baffled. I cant afford the $80 wiring harness and a new head unit right now so i decided to leave the stock one in. I put in an output converter and have everything wired correctly except i'm having trouble finding a remote wire to run to the amps.

this probably has a class II radio in it, meaning the stock head unit actually has no +12v turn on wire.  You'll have to grab one from the ignition harness.  Unfortunately, I don't have the wiring info but if you post in the forum that's for wiring requests (or do a search of all the forums for your vehicle) someone should be able to get you the info you need.

They do make some line output converters that will generate a turn on signal whenever they sense a voltage increase on their inputs, but they cost at least 30-40 last time I checked.
