mtx 8500 Vs. kicker l7 subs

which subwoofer you think is the best over all, price , sounds, spl, sq. and quality? i currently own a pair of 12"s mtx 8500, they are fine,could be better in ported box, but i don't have too much space,  i recently hear one 12" kicker l7 which sound real nice, loud and very clear, i was considering to upgrade to kicker subs, here come the problem they also need to be in a ported box to performe at their best, so has any one lisented to these two subwoofers, in ported boxes,  which one is the louder, i want more bass on my truck i willing to sacrifice space, if my mtx will sound better in a ported box i am keepin them, if not i will get the kickers, if you think they both suck, how about a pair of mtx 9500, they beat kicker l7 and jl w7, but they are way too expensive,  i guess they are worth the money, so any one with these subs let me know how they sound.

kicker is gonna be louder but it more spl sub

The kicker is a SPL sub for sure.   And the 9500's are alot cheaper then the JL w7, but almost twice as much as a Kicker L7.    Really You could go with 1 9500 with a massive amount of power. I mean like 1500-2500 real power. and it will out do a L7 or W7 hands down

i did  an install not to long ago in an 05 ford truck, two 12" kicker L7's and two kicker kx600.1's run at one ohm ( they are acutally supposed to be 2 ohm stable but this customer has had us install this product before and the have lived for about a year and a half now at one ohm and no porblems) in a sealed box and they sound great. that was actually the idea behind the solo barics originally, to be able to simulate the size and output of an isoBARIC (see the resembelence there?) enclousre which uses two subs and half the space of a convencitional one speaker set up. their suspensions are geared toward a small sealed enclosure and sound great that way. almost any sub by nature will have more bass responce in a vented box because those type of enclosures are designed to boost the subs preformance, and acutally produce almost all of the bass around their tunnig frequency. use the L7's, gety better preformance than your mtx's and save your trunk. it was meant to be.
