Compustar 2FM - siren problem

I have installed a Compustar 2FM remote starter for about 7 months now. I am experiencing no chirps on the siren. Everything appears to function normally. I have soldered all connections. I have not turned off the chirp function on the remote. Since, it’s so cold out door I have not check on all the connections. I am just curious of what might have happened so I can focus in that area. Thanks.

can i replace the stock compustar siren with an after market siren?

yeah, id use the DEI siren. its small and loud.

so you mean you had the compustar siren and changed to DEI siren? did you solder the wires or does the siren comes with the harness that fits into the compustar. where did you buy this siren? which model would be compatible? thanks.

Disconnect the siren from the brain and apply 12 volts/ground directly to the siren and test it out first. Possible your alarm brain's siren output is fried..saves you from buying a clone part that did not have a problem to begin with..
