Hey Rat, how are you powering your laptop? and, Have you had any hard disk issues from spinning the disks while on the road? I've heard of hard disks getting scratched by being jostled while in operation.

actually today i ditched the laptop and began installing a full blown PC. The reason I did this was A)I have tons of spare parts lying around B)Bigger disks C)remote power On button (the laptop ON button was part of the motherboard..too close to get any wires in there...As for the disks I have never had a problem before, and they sell MP3 boxes now for the car that have built in HD's. In theory however I guess if the pothole was deep enough and you had no shocks on your car it could mess up the drive, among other things. I am powering the PC using a 175W inverter, however I am going to purchase a small UPS battery backup so that way the PC gets perfect current and also so it dosnt turn off every time I start the ignition.

Would I be able to link a laptop to my Kenwood touchscreen LZ-700W? What extra parts would I need ,if any to do it?
