I would recamend a med sized full length sloted box of less than 1.5 cubic feet go for the MDF and dont go cheap the recamended sizes are
sealed box volume 0.66-1.0 cubic feet
ported box volume 1.25-2.25 cubic feet
but I would stay smaller just for sound quality because it doesnt sound to me like you are going for full out annihilation of your ears or at least not yet. Just remember you will have to have it for a square sub this sub will not fit a round hole cut box. Also it would help me judge it better if I knew what style vehicle you are putting this into because I already know what kind of amp you are planning on running this sub with it helps me judge it a little better, remember Medium sized, MDF, and for best quality sound without giving up bass sloted port.

Well because this will be in a trunk of your vehicle make sure that you either go with a sealed encloser becuase it will have a better sound quality that way or either stick with the sloted box and have the slot face towards the opening of the trunk. Make sure that you dont get cheap with this box though you bought a very nice sub and this is the only thing that can really stand in your way of creating a nice sounding bass note.
