You can use a DEI 555B to bypass the factory imobilizer without using a key. As to my knowledge you cant just make one without using an extra key. Just use the bypass and dont piss around trying to make one. These german cars can be tempremental, and expensive in you make a mistake :)

thanks for all the replys guys. i really appreciate it... i bought a "auto tran"" transponder bypass kit and am getting a key cut. without you guys and this site i would not have been able to install.

not sure if you got past the oil indicator light. As far as i can see this wire sees ground at rest and +12v when the car has started so that the alarm can tell when when to stop cranking the starter if your having trouble finding this wire without taking the speedo cluster out i'm pretty sure that the fuel pump wire does the same thing just make sure you test with a DMM or beagle and remember the airbag module could be under the rear seat so be carefull not to probe those wires so you don't set off the airbags good luck
