It is a cover for the space between the seat back on the rear seats and the back of the trunk lip. Some cars come with vinyl covers that you stretch over that area and others don't.

yepers exactly.....I already had a carpeted one on there but it had an ugly dip in the middle....so I stretched wide masking tape across the dip and then pulled a mold from the old one and created that fiberglass one...heres a pic of it inside my car

thanks guys I wish I woulda posted this before....it keeps you going during the hours of sanding and bondoing, preping for paint I found is the most time consuming part
Anyone know where to get pre thinned 1part urathane paint from? I want to use my dads HPLV spraygun, though neither of us has used it before lol

I got mine from NAPA, they can do a perfect color match.  I think the product line was called "crossfire"  Be sure to buy your primer somewhere else though, they wanted an arm and leg for it.
Good Luck, Michael M

I've seen this somewhere? Do you post on focaljet? But anyways looks good,  I might think of doing something like that to my focus hatch cover , of course not like that but maybe i'll do zx3 somehow.
